Paint with plants! Exploring inks & nature for unexpected collage creations 🍃

This week, I've been inspired by another amazing artist Sarah from SG Art and Journals ❤️ The other day, Sarah was using leaves to create some beautiful marks, and it looked so lovely and freeing. I’ve only used leaves for gelli printing before, but I haven’t really tried them with paints and inks, so I thought I’d give it a go! I decided to play with inks because I love their fluidity, and the results were very interesting! Not everything turned out as I had envisioned, and I’d even say some marks were total fails, BUT — there’s no failing in art, only experiments! In the end, I created two unexpected and gorgeous pieces of collage for my art journals. I hope this video inspires you to go outside, find something fun and unexpected to paint with, and do some liberating mark-making! When we use something as unpredictable as plants and leaves, the results are truly out of our hands, so anything can happen!
