Circumnavigating Pikes Peak with Sarah Rawley | Ring The Peak

Pikes Peak, towering 8000 feet above Colorado Springs, tops out at 14,115' and is the second most visited mountain in the world. Sometimes you just need to ride around it. The standard "Ring The Peak" route is 68 miles, but as there are some closures near North Catamount Reservoir, the classic route will not be open until 2026. This is Sarah Rawley's version of the route as she sees it, considering the current closures and adding on some bonus sections. This is part 1, keep it locked right here to see if we make it out alive! We rode this yesterday, celebrating the holiday and summer solstice to the fullest. We both chose our Yeti SB120's with Pike's for this route. With a mix of everything and almost 7k of climbing over 50 miles, I think we made the right call.
