Is the GTX 970 GPU still good for gaming in 2022? In this video we benchmark an Asus GeForce GTX970 Strix OC 4GB Graphics Card paired with a Haswell i7 4770K to test if it's still worth it! We're testing the card using benchmarking tools as 3DMark Time Spy & Unigine Heaven 4.0 and seven popular games. The GTX 970 4GB struggles at 4K mostly due to the 4GB of VRAM and requires turning most settings down as low as possible to deliver even 20fps in most cases (especially modern AAA titles), however it is still a very capable card at 1080p Medium-High graphics settings (depending on the game) and it can deliver acceptable performance in most titles at 1440p Low-Medium graphics settings. In this ongoing GPU crisis we're facing, the GTX 970 can be a life saver especially if you can find a used one at the right price, as it can offer a very enjoyable gaming experience at 1080p/60fps!
