I’ve set a personal record (more as a challenge) for wingspan vs spread size. It’s wonky, it’s messy, but it already works. Which means that it can only get better when I give this a second try. There’s room for improvement to make it more stable and symmetrical. This pillar solution worked for me because the bird is raised. Putting it on a five inch tall overextended pillar, makes it flex and creates just enough tension to pull up the wing ends using parallel mechanisms. And it also creates room for the wings to fold in without jamming into the page.
