As seen on The Great British Bake Off! Recipe and video showing how to make the Swedish Classic Smörgåstårta or Swedish Sandwich Cake! Eaten as a celebration savoury cake, you can make the cake to your liking, switching out any of the ingredients for ones that you prefer! Like and subscribe for more videos like this! Recipe: Ingredients: 24 slices of white bread 300ml mayonnaise 400ml Creme fraiche ½tbsp rock salt ½ tsp freshly crushed black pepper ½tsp parsley 280g diced cooked ham 4 Avocadoes, diced Juice from ½ lemon 1/4 tsp dried dill 500g cooked and peeled prawns ½ cucumber 3 eggs 8 slices ham 8 slices cheese 20 grapes fresh dill 3 slices lemon Directions: Mix together the mayo and creme fraiche in a large bowl. Take 200ml of the mixture and place into a medium bowl, and 300ml and place in to a second medium bowl, leaving 200ml in the original bowl. In the original bowl, add in the ham and parsley. Mix and set to one side In the second bowl with 200ml of the mayo mixture, add in the 4 avocadoes along with the lemon juice and dried dill and mix, until the avocado is partially mashed. Cut the crusts off of all the of the bread. Place a small amount of the base mayo mixture onto a cake board and lay 8 slices of bread on to it. Cover with a layer of the ham mixture, place a second layer of bread on top of the ham mixture, cover with a layer of the avocado mixture. Place the final layer of bread on top and cover the top and sides with the remaining base mayo mixture. Using a vegetable peeler, slice strands of the cucumber and place around the cake. Layer all of the prawns down the centre of the cake and decorate around the edge with the remaining ingredients. Place in the fridge to set for a couple of hours. Store in the fridge,
