To commemorate the Korea Foundation’s 30th anniversary, the KF and Arirang TV are airing ”K-INNOVATION,” a trilogy of joint documentaries that deliver the secrets behind amazing innovations from Korea. Part 2, “Secrets of Convenience and Speed,” sheds light on Korea’s unique “#Ppalli-Ppalli” culture, as well as the quick and convenient aspects of life in Korea made possible by the nation’s highly-developed IT sector. - Introduction This special documentary highlights the fast and convenient lifestyle of Korea, driven by its highly-advanced IT technology. Korea's unique rapid pace of living, often referred to as “Ppalli-Ppalli” (meaning “quickly”) culture, is the driving force of Korea's economic growth and an element of the country that international visitors often find particularly attractive. Where did this Ppalli-Ppalli culture, which supports Korea's distinctive lifestyle, come from? How has it changed Korean society so far? And how do foreigners living in Korea feel about it in their daily lives? This program will show all of this and more to viewers. In addition to Ppalli-Ppalli culture’s impact on day-to-day life, it has made it possible for Korea to quickly adopt new methods in disaster situations, such as in the response to COVID-19 last year.
