Foggy Notions, The – Need A Little Lovin' … 1966 The Foggy Notions were a 1960s garage rock band from Chicago, Illinois USA, that was active from 1965-1967. It appears that the band released only one 45, “Need A Little Lovin/Take Me Back and Hold Me”, in 1966 on the Ginny Record label. Both songs on the single are originals, “Need A Little Lovin” was written by the bands guitarist Peter Hoy and “Take Me Back and Hold Me” was co-written by the group members Dave Suekoff, Jimmy Kaplan, Peter Hoy and Doug Mazique. … The early line-up of the group was an outgrowth of the folk revival scene as the members were all guitar students at the Old Town School of Folk Music. The early line-up of the group included: Michael Callan (vocals), Jimmy Kaplan (bass), Henry Gardono (guitar), David Lee (guitar) and Bob Curtis (drums). Later versions of the band also included: Peter Hoy—guitar, vocals Doug Mazique—bass, vocals Dave Suekoff—drums Buzz Dommers—guitar John Linn—drums A big “Thank You!” to Sundazed records for reissuing this single in 2016 and for preserving this fantastic music for future generations to enjoy.
