Miyawaki Mini Forest is created at Royal Park Residency (RPR) Layout, J.P.Nagar 9th phase, Bengaluru in the month of June 2020. This is part of MRMP (My Road My Pride) Citizens' initiative founded in the street of RPR in the year 2019. The Miyawaki Forest created in RPR is unique as it is completely done by the Residents without any external help or consultancy (except YouTube) and also done very economically. Dry leaves, manure and mulching material was completely collected from the parks in the layout and nothing was purchased from outside. Native plants were procured from the government owned forest nursery as well as medicinal plant nursery in Bengaluru at Rs.3/- per plant. In addition to the native plants, medicinal plants are also brought in and planted in the area which is unique. The inspiration to choose this method came from a pilot experiment done in the previous year which yielded very good result within one year.
