15 years ago I had a vision in my head that drove me to near madness. I could visualize what I wanted our night hunting content to look like but getting from point A to B was much easier said than done. It was a game of trial and error and trust me when I say we made plenty of mistakes and still do. I wanted Night Crew footage to have a distinct look that truly gave the greatest sport on the planet it's due justice. Step by methodical step we learned as a team how to get coyotes and bobcats into extremely close ranges under the brightest light ever shined on a wild animal. We built one light rig after another, the next one always bettering the last to improve this or that. Everyone called me crazy including the rest of the team but I refused to be satisfied until it looked a certain way. I knew it could be better! If we captured a kill and it was ever labeled "USEABLE" it was thrown out. It had to have enough wow factor to captivate our viewers well enough that they too would want to go out and try it for themselves. Well that mission I set out on all those years ago was about to come full circle on the most insane night of filming we've ever experienced as a film crew. It's funny how sometimes we get so busy chasing a dream, when the moment comes that we're actually living it, we're too blinded by the chase to even realize it.
