The Orioles had one of the most painful results one could handle as a fan. With the home field, Burnes pitched his guts out, going eight full innings, while giving up just one run. In fact, the Royals only brought three more hitters to the plate than the minimum. Not only was our pitching stellar, our defense was on point as well, with James McCann gunning down Bobby Witt Jr trying to steal a major highlight. Unfortunately, the offense could not string a rally together againt Cole Ragans and the Royals bullpen. We had a couple of chances, but a runner at third with less than two out was stranded, among other things. So now, here we are, 24 hours into the postseason and facing an elimination, win-or-go-play-golf game. Camden Yards was packed. The fans brought the noise yesterday. And they could not enjoy a single run. The offense MUST show up here today, and give our starter Zach Eflin a chance to give a quality start and even up this series. Seth Lugo will be the opposing pitcher for Kansas City. Yes, nerves are frayed. But we worked hard to get here. Let's level this thing up today. The wait is OVER folks.
