He has since served as a high school teacher for the Ateneos in Manila and Zamboanga, as a chaplain in the Philippine General Hospital, and for too short a time, as a missionary for Jesuit Refugee Service - South Sudan. While finishing his Ph.D. in Theology and Education in Boston College, he started exploring how the Bible can truly transform us. He now lectures on Scripture, Religious Education, Theology, and Philosophy in Loyola School of Theology and in the Ateneo de Manila University. As a classroom teacher, he considers himself first and foremost as a student. As a professor, he sees himself primarily as a pastor. The Magisterial Lecture series is a collection of selected talks from Ateneo classes, delivered by some of the University’s most respected faculty members.
