GTA 5: How To TUNE Your Car for Drifting - The ULTIMATE Drift Setup!

A long overdue video explaining the ins and outs of how to set up a car for drifting in GTA 5. This video goes in-depth to explain most, if not all, customization options available for most vehicles and how each one affects a car's driftability, based on extensive testing I conducted. The video will end with a basic drift tune for most cars, along with some specialized drift tunes for a few more popular cars to get you guys on the right path. 5 years of drifting experience in this game along with a lot of additional testing across various cars went into this video, so I hope it ends up helping out! Timestamps: 0:00 - Intro / Important Notes 1:55 - Required Upgrades 7:32 - Optional Upgrades 13:52 - Example Drift Tunes 16:00 - Outro My video on the best cars for drifting in GTA 5 (update video coming soon by the way!):    • GTA 5: The BEST Drift Cars! (2020)   Helpful resources from the GTA 5 racing community, all of which helped immensely in making this video: Broughy1322:    / @broughy1322   Broughy1322's guide to car tuning:    • GTA Online Ultimate Car Tuning Guide!...   Broughy1322's webpage covering more about car upgrades and their effects: https://broughy.com/gta5carsetups CHILLI's "Car Upgrades & Dynamics" document that explains the nuances behind certain upgrades: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1H... Testing Notes: Drifting in GTA 5 is fun but challenging, so I tried to gather as much testing data as possible to make informed conclusions in this video. To do this in the first place, I tested various combinations of these upgrades on the following cars: Benefactor Schwartzer Bravado Banshee 900R Bravado Redwood Gauntlet Bravado Gauntlet Hellfire Dewbauchee Rapid GT Karin Futo Pfister Comet Retro Custom Schyster Fusilade Willard Faction By combining some of the concrete data collected through the handbrake launch, rolling mid-drive speed boost, and handbrake stopping tests (to get more concrete results based on length of the skidmarks left behind the car), how each car "felt" by performing a set drifting line on flat ground, and reliable testing data compiled by the GTA 5 racing community (linked above), I think I was able to come to some accurate conclusions, all of which are shown in the video. However, a larger portion of what is explained in the video is based upon how each car "felt" with certain upgrades, as it's so hard to gather much concrete testing data for drifting in GTA 5. The task of drifting in GTA 5 is especially inconsistent, mainly because of how difficult it is to do in the first place - testing how certain parts affect a car's driftability is much harder than doing straight line drag tests, top speed testing, and even lap time tests. So, for what it's worth, I hope this video helps simplify the process of setting up a drift car in GTA 5, and maybe busts some myths that some people had about certain upgrades and their effects on a car's driftability. As always, if you guys have any more questions about this stuff (trust me, I know how confusing it is), feel free to ask! ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Thanks for watching everyone!
