Shoppers queued outside supermarkets across the UK in the early hours of Friday morning, eager to snap up bargains Reports of violence emerged from some shops in the UK, at least two people have been arrested, with police officers being forced to close some shops to restore order. A number of shops opened at midnight boasting major discounts on a range of products. However shoppers complained the hysteria led to scenes of carnage as people rushed to get the best deals.
