While on long camping trips there will come a time that you may need or want to do laundry. If you're lucky the park you are at may offer laundry machines or you might be close enough to a town to use a laundromat. For all other times, you can plan ahead and do it at your campsite. You'll need to bring laundry detergent (I prefer the liquid kind), at least 2 wash bins, a rope/line that doesn't run/bleed, some type of clothespin to keep the items from blowing off the line. Get your water from the park and then start handwashing! During this trip, we washed about 80% of our laundry this way and only made one stop at a laundromat.
