Tulip Poplar Commonly known as the Tulip Tree or Yellow Poplar, this member of the Magnolia family has beautiful yellow-orange flowers in the late spring. The Tulip tree grows fast to 70 feet with a narrow, pyramidal canopy. Adaptable to a wide range of soils and climates, plant the Tulip Tree in good draining soil in Zones 4 – 9.
