I bought my first Electric Eel Wheel in 2015, and although I loved the Electric Eel Wheel 4, it was rather noisy. I went on to buy the EEW5 which had much more bearable sound levels but you couldn’t really describe it as ‘quiet’. As the original sound level videos are still on my YouTube channel, when I received my new Electric Eel Wheel 6, I felt it was only fair to make a video that compared the sound levels of all of my Electric Eel Wheels. Unfortunately, I can’t make a side-by-side comparison as I’ve modified my EEW5 to use bearings, which makes it quieter. I’ve been spinning for 30 years, but I would still class myself as a ‘sedate spinner’. It will be rare that I’ll want to run the EEW6 at maximum speed so I wanted to make a video that demonstrates the average volume levels you can expect from the EEW6 if, like me, you're not a high-speed spinner.
