Buchla Bongo Demo

Demo of the buchla lo-pass gate producing a nice bongo sound. Even after owning a Buchla for over two years, I struggled to find a bongo sound which I enjoyed, which frustrated me. I finally realised that the classic bongo sound I enjoyed is a product of the lo-pass gate on combo mode. Its somewhat counterintuitive, but this mode produces the longest ringing and most natural decay of any modes. With the gate mode, I could get long decays which were excellent for deep slowly fading bass notes and straight synth. With the lo-pass mode, I can get a woody thwack, but its only with the lo-pass gate combo that you get the sharp transient attack and the long ringing associated with bongos.
