We are all familiar with being around walls. Walls have kept us safe and provided us with a shelter. But what if breaking down physical walls will help us to build new possibilities? Alan Kueh shares with us how deconstructing walls can bring people, businesses, and the community together. As the Head of AK+, Alan helms an architectural practice that sets to shape the culture of today and tomorrow through its innovative design. Alan has worked on a number of inspiring projects, one such project being the Together Shelter, a temporary shelter deployment of over 3000 beds at various under-utilised multi storey car park in Singapore during the COVID-19 pandemic.
