Demonstration of the Seebeck effect

I have built an apparatus as it was used to demonstrate the Seebeck effect after 1821. It consists of a cast bismuth bar and a copper bracket. The two connecting points were soldered and each form a thermocouple. Depending on whether one is heated or cooled, the current flows in one direction or the other. The proof that a current flows is provided by a magnetic needle. This needle is equipped with a damping device; thus it moves aperiodically, which is beneficial for the shortening of the video. Ich habe einen Apparat nachgebaut, wie er zur Demonstration des Seebeck Effektes nach 1821 genutzt wurde. Er besteht aus einem gegossenen Bismutriegel und einem Kupferbügel. Die beiden Verbindungspunkte wurden gelötet und bilden je ein Thermoelement. Je nachdem, ob das eine erwärmt oder abgekühlt wird fließt der Strom in die eine oder andere Richtung. Den Beweis, dass ein Strom fließt, erbringt eine Magnetnadel. Diese wurde noch mit einer Dämpfungsvorrichtung versehen; somit bewegt sie sich aperiodisch, was der kürze des Videos zugute kommt.
