Pałac w Pawłowicach (Palace in Pawlowice)

Pałac Kornów w Pawłowicach – pierwotnie folwark w Pawłowicach należący do klasztoru św. The Korn familiy palace in Pawlowice was first a big farm owned by the Saint Vincent abbey in Wrocław . In 1891 it was purchased by Heinrich von Korn and transformed into his family headquarters. The family coats of arms of Heinrich von Korn and his wife Helen von Eichborn are still visible above the main gates of the palace. There is a 7,2 hectare park near the palace with over 200 species of trees and shrubs. Actually it is one of the biggest arboretums in the vicinity of Wrocław. In the park you can find many lovely places for a rest. Although now there are not many benches to sit, it is not hard to find a good place on the grass near the central pond (0,4 hectare) in the park. There are many charming spot to take photos but especially two are worth mentioning, that is the gloriette and the bridge with a long soft arch near the pond. Currently the Wroclaw University of Life Sciences ownes the palace and the park. We've visited many such palaces in the Lower Silesia but for sure this one is one of the well-maintained ones. It is worth going for a cup of coffee after a stroll in the park in the café located in the palace.
