May-Thurner Syndrome on a CTA (CT angiogram)

This video explains the basics of May-Thurner Physiology and explains how to determine if someone has May-Thurner Physiology in the axial, coronal, and saggital views on a CTA (can also use the same techniques for a regular CT scan). This particular CTA scan belongs to someone who was ultimately diagnosed and stented for May-Thurner Syndrome. A follow-up CT scan shows what a stent looks like in all three views. The stent is a 16 mm x 150 mm Abre stent. The follow-up CT scan also shows what a clotted stent looks like in the axial view. A REMINDER: ~25% of the population has May-Thurner Physiology. Most don't have symptoms. It only becomes a syndrome if you also have symptoms consistent with the syndrome. Symptoms can affect the left leg only, right leg only, or both legs. Up to 40% of MTS cases occur bilaterally (both legs). This video was made by me, the patient. These are my scans. I am not a medical doctor or a radiologist. Please read and listen to the medical disclaimer at the beginning of the video.
