Finally, a video dedicated to the best diesel at IRM. A little TL;DR for those unaware, during the summer of 2024, IRM started running diesel powered coach trains on Fridays starting around the beginning of the summer, giving the diesels of the collection to stretch their wheels instead of just being brought out for Diesel Days and that's it. Today was the last day of the summer season for these weekday coach trains and it was announced that Santa Fe FP45 #92 would have the honors of hauling the last Friday Coach Train of the summer season. And being that I'm a major Santa Fe fan, I had to go out for this. So enjoy this video of 92 running up and down the IRM's mainline with a short coach train and some appearances by CTA 3142 and North Shore Line 749 running around, as well as some glimpses at some of the other equipment at the museum.
