I swapped in a Dodge 23 spline input shaft so that I can use my 47rh transmission with this Ford t-case for my 2008 "Fummins" Build. Dodge trucks with the Cummins diesels use the same NP271 and NP273 cases, so this process will be the same with those trucks. Swapping the input shaft involves completely tearing down the transfer case, so even if you are not swapping the input shaft you will learn how to disassemble and reassemble this case.
