Source: Wikipedia The Humpfert Tower, officially the Carl Hassel Tower, in the Letmathe district of the city of Iserlohn in the Märkischer Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia is a 10 meter high observation tower built in 1908 on the Humpfert. The tower was built using a steel framework and was inaugurated on June 21, 1908. The manufacturer Carl Hassel, chairman and founding member of the SGV Letmathe department, was very committed to building the tower. Since 1941, the building has had the official name Carl Hassel Tower. Due to rust damage, the tower was renovated in 2011 and painted blue again. Access to the tower has been closed since summer 2021 because the grid spacing of the steel structure does not comply with the applicable DIN regulations.
