Its only 2002 which does not seem like a long time ago but even in that short space of time Dermot's video does show how much can change. Thanks for submitting the video Dermot. Dermot wrote this next piece to explain the video. My 2002 Walkabout was done for Joey Allen who lives in Preston and had not been home for 20years. The entire Allen family emigrated to England in approx 1970 and settled in Preston. Among the family were Eddie (one of my best friends) Noel, Billy, Ann, Eileen, Tony and some that I don`t remember. They were living in Tullac Mongan at the time. Their father made bridals for horses when they lived in Cavan. I don`t know what he worked at in England. He is dead now as is his wife. Two of the lads, Billy and Noel died in recent years. Joe is still alive. The film inspired him to visit Cavan and he comes home regularly now.
