Short video about how I (hopefully) fixed the annoying LAMP DEFECTIVE/LAMPE DEFEKT message on my dashboard. If you have a similar problem, this should fix it. First I tried to fix it by bending the contacts, cleaning them with isopropyl alcohol, sanding them down (they were burnt and had some pitting from bad contact), stuck a piece of paper on the back side to make tension on the contacts, I also got new bulb holders, but none of these fixes were permanent. If you are having the same problem with your car, I guess the best solution is to solder in new bulb holders with wires. You have a choice: splice into the car wiring (before the connector on the light) or onto the traces on the light itself (I chose this method), you could also as I suggested get another connector and make a wiring harness for the lamps.
