The first launch of my experimental rocket TR1 (Test Rocket One). Powered by a custom KNDX rocket motor, with a custom flight computer and up to 170g of payload capacity (without camera). Apogee on this flight 650m (to be improved in the future), measured using altimeter one. No parachute ejection because of an unpredicted motor thrust curve. I didn't log thrust data from the motor test since I don't have the appropriate load cell. The acceleration during the launch was below 4g which didn't trigger the launch detection system (LDS) in my flight computer. threshold changed to 1.5g for future flights (plus additional LDS using the onboard barometric pressure sensor) The rocket survived and after reattaching the fins I'll attempt another launch in a week or two.
