I've honestly been waiting to make a chocolate chip cake for the longest time, and that too with chocolate glaze. Finally made it last week and of course- I had to share the recipe with you guys! If you're into #egglessbaking or even if you're not- this cake is a must try fro everybody! It's a fool proof recipe and very simple to put together. The result is this absolutely stunning, delicious cake which will become your go-to for all celebrations and special occasions! Recipe notes- 1) I made this cake in a bundt pan but you can use a regular 8" circular pan 2) the cake tastes equally good with chocolate ganache/ without any frosting 3) I used Amul chocolate to make the glaze. I used chocolate chips from Nestle, which I picked up from my travels abroad 4) You can also make this cake in a cooker on convection mode of microwave at 180C -it'll just take slightly lesser to bake, so keep an eye 5) The batter of this cake is super thick, so your chocolate chips won't sink but you can always toss them in flour before adding them into the batter to be extra sure INGREDIENTS 1 cup (285 g) yogurt / dahi ½ teaspoon (3 g) baking soda 1+1/2 cups (180 g) all-purpose flour (maida) 1 teaspoon (4g) baking powder ¾ cup (150 g) caster sugar ½ cup (120 ml) vegetable oil 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract ½ cup (90 g) chocolate chips For the chocolate glaze 2 cup (350 g) dark chocolate (chopped) 1 tablespoon (14g) vegetable oil If you make this cake, send pictures to me on Instagram @shivesh17 for more recipes- bakewithshivesh.com
