The Togean Archipelago will always hold a special place in my heart. Any time I can bum on the reefs for weeks on end, that place will be special to me. All the more so when we endured some frightful weather on the ferry to arrive there -- twelve hours into the teeth of the West Wind is no joke for landlocked Midwesterners like me. But the ride is worth it. And the weather down in Togean was mostly fantastic. Just after we arrived, the dive crew was gearing up to take a group out for a snorkel a half-hour from the coast. We dropped the bag and hopped on board, and never looked back. Togean, by the way, is the first place I started in on the GoPro videos -- my Hero 7 White was a cheap purchase just before leaving, and the long, quiet evening of this trip were often spent tossing together a few shots from the days to relive the moments. If these look even more amateur than normal, I was still figuring stuff out. I still am.
