Meet Arenlong Longkumer, a guitar virtuoso from Nagaland, North-East India. Aren is the winner of The Strandberg India Guitar Contest 2020 & the Jack Gardiner Solo Competition 2020. He also won the Best Guitarist Award at Hornbill International Music Festival in 2013. Hailing from Mokokchung, Nagaland, Aren has done M.Phil in Linguistics, Although he does not have a degree in music, he did have a short spell with formal classical guitar classes. After winning the Solo Competition by Aren in 2020, UK based guitarist Jack Gardiner described him as a 'super tasty player'. He says, "Aren showed real taste in his phrasing. He is mature and vibrato is good. Arenlong you are really really good." Aren is the recipient of TaFMA Excellence Awards 2020 by Task Force for Music and Arts. He is one of the winners of Boss Guitar Maestro Contest by Roland in 2015.
