This is just my personal opinion when working with birds, based off my own experiences. I prefer males. Dave prefers females (I asked him after making the videos) but he couldn't quite say why. And he argued that Bandit is the moodiest bird ever so I guess there goes that argument... since he's right. My boy's moodier than any girl. Sigh. But I still love that pink bundle of moodiness! When it comes to cockatoos - go with females. When it comes to macaws - I prefer males. When it comes to amazon parrots - females.
