Ag in Action- Learning with Pigs FarmChat was part of an Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation (IALF) program in partnership with the Iowa Pork Producers Association. In this video join IALF's education program coordinator, Alex Osborn, as she tours Todd Wiley's pig farm in Benton County, Iowa. Learn how farmers keep their pigs safe, what a hog building looks like, what pigs eat, and so much more! FarmChat® is a unique program that utilizes technology to bring the farm experience directly into the classroom. Using a laptop at the school and a mobile device at the farm, students connect with and directly speak with the farmer. Students can see the farm and ask questions all from the safety and security of their classroom. This video was a live recording of a Zoom webinar and edited to enhance the post viewing experience.
