Theater of Pain boss guide! Looking at the five boss fights in the Theater of Pain Shadowlands dungeon on Mythic difficulty to prepare you for the fight mechanics. In the Theater of Pain dungeon (found in Maldraxxus in the Shadowlands) you'll fight the Affront of Challengers including Dessia, Paceran, Sathel (and Xira on Mythic). There's also Gorechop, Xav the Unfallen, Kul'tharok and Mordretha. Brush up on your Mythic fight mechanics with this video, or read the short version below. Necrolord players can get a group buff in the Theater of Pain by clicking on the Necrolords Banner, giving them and nearby allies versatility and movement speed. Against the Affront of Challengers, you need to decide a kill order and avoid pushing multiple bosses below 40% at once. My best guess at a kill order would be Dessia first, then Sathel, with Paceran last but that could change depending on availability of Disease cures and offensive magic dispels. Purge off Spectral Transference and disease cure Genetic Alteration. On Mythic, use stuns or other full CC to interrupt Xira's Opportunity Strikes. Against Gorechop, it's a matter of running away from the Tenderizing Smash, dodging Meat Hooks and killing Oozing Leftover adds in convenient places. Against Xav, you want to dodge the various area attacks of Might of Maldraxxus, kill Oppressive Banners and have one of the two players chosen for Glorious Combat win quickly. Against Kul'Tharok, run and touch your soul if it's ripped out of you. Also spread out if you get Phantasmal Parasite while you wait for your dispel. Against Mordretha, run away from the grasping pull, avoid the rotating death beam, and avoid the warring and charging Ghostly combatants. Kick and kill adds.
