While the box says "8+", I found there was no problem playing it with my six-year-old, save for the fact that because many of the cards have text on them, we did have to help her understand what they do. Nevertheless, this is a game with very little conflict between players and a level of simplicity that makes it easy to teach, play, and enjoy. while the game play is very basic, the informative text on the back of all 120 of the unique cards is very enriching and players are sure to learn about historical figures they have never heard of before.
