Shree Mahesh Kale is disciple of Great Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki ji, master of Agra Gharana. He started to learn music from his mother Smt. Meenal Kale ji at the age of 3. He regularly visited Holy place of Maharahstra called Gondavale where Saint. Gondavalekar Maharaj stayed and worshiped lord Ram. So he has a good background of Bhajan, Kirtan and Abhanga. He also took training from Pt. Purushottam Ghangurde for almost 2.5 years. Then he went to Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki where he learned for almost 7 to 8 years following Gurukul system. After Guruji's demise he continued his training from Pt. Shaunak ji Abhisheki i.e. Guruji's son. He has done his engineering in electronics and then went to America ( San Farnsico Bay Area ) for doing masters. He established his own music school called Mahesh Kale School Of Music i.e. MKSM and also he is a crucial part of a Non Profit institute called Indian Classical Music Academy called ICMA . In 2009 - 2010 he came to mumbai and acted in a musical play ( Sangeet Natak ) called Katyar Kaljat Ghusli. He did the role of Sadashiv - a devotee of music and his guru Pandit Bhanushankar Shastri. This drama was originally directed by Great Prabhakar Panshikar, Music direction and role of Panditji was done by Pt. Jitendra Abhisheki, and lead role of Khansaheb was done by Pt. Vasantrao Deshpande. In 2010, This drama was directed by marathi actor Subodh Bhave, role of Khansaheb was done by Rahul Deshpande. In 2015, a marathi film was realsed called Katay Kalajat Ghusli and music was given by great Shankar Ehesan Loy. Mahesh Kale got a National award for the song Aruni Kirani of this film.
