Please make sure you have read and understood all steps and have the necessary tools and parts before you begin. Tools and Parts: • New Surface Pro 8 screen • T3 Torx screwdriver • Triangle pry tool • Disassembly Card • 99% isopropyl alcohol • B7000 glue (optional) • Rubber bands or clamps (optional) Steps: 1. Power off and disconnect the device. 2. Remove the SSD. o Use a T3 Torx screwdriver to remove the screws securing the SSD. o Gently pry up the SSD and remove it. 3. Remove the speaker mesh. o Use an opening tool to widen the gap between the speaker mesh and device. 4. Insert the triangle pry tool and run it around the edge of the screen. o Use our Disassembly Card to mark 2 mm and 8 mm marks on the pry tool. o Insert the pry tool between the screen and bezel to a depth of 2 mm and run it around the edge of the screen. o Insert the pry tool to a depth of 8 mm and continue running it around the edge of the screen. 5. Use the triangle pry tool to cut through the remaining adhesive. o Slowly insert the pry tool between the screen and bezel, cutting through the remaining adhesive. 6. Remove the old screen and disconnect the display cable. o Grasp the edges of the screen and gently lift it off the device. o Disconnect the display cable connecting the screen to the motherboard. 7. Clean up any remaining adhesive and glass shards. o Use a lint-free cloth and 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean up any remaining adhesive and glass shards from the screen bezel and inside the device. 8. Inspect the bezel for flatness. o Ensure the bezel is not bent or warped, as this could damage the new screen. If necessary, use a tool to flatten the bezel. 9. Connect the new screen and display cable. o Carefully align the new screen with the bezel. o Connect the display cable connecting the new screen to the motherboard. 10. Install the SSD and connect the power. o Insert the SSD into the slot and secure it with the screws. o Connect the power cord. 11. Power on and test the screen. o Plug in the charger, turn on the device and test the screen functionality, ensuring all touch points work properly. 12. Power off and remove the SSD. 13. Apply adhesive around the edges of the screen. o Apply B7000 glue or other suitable adhesive around the edges of the screen. o Avoid applying adhesive to the cables or connectors. 14. Install the new screen onto the bezel. o Carefully align the new screen with the bezel and press it firmly into place. 15. Secure the screen and wait for the adhesive to cure. o Use rubber bands or clamps to secure the screen in place. o Wait for at least 2 hours for the adhesive to fully cure. 16. Remove the clamps and power on. o Remove the rubber bands or clamps. o Turn on the device and check that the screen is securely installed and functioning properly. Notice: • Replacing the screen is a delicate procedure. Please handle the device with care to avoid damaging the screen or other components. • If you are not comfortable disassembling electronic devices, it is recommended that you take your device to an authorized service center for repair. • Replacing the screen may affect the device's water resistance.
