ICELAND EUROVISION 2023 - REACTING TO ‘POWER’ BY DILJÁ (FIRST LISTEN)

Hi guys, and welcome back to my channel! If you’re new here, my name’s Rachel and I’m a huge Eurovision fan as well as a musician. In today’s video, I reacted to Iceland’s entry for Eurovision 2023, ‘Power’ by Diljá. I really enjoyed this one, purely because they didn’t keep it too simple with the chords (adding that Bb Minor to Eb Major progression was genius). The hook and vocal lines were strong, and catchy. That ‘P-P-P-Power’ bit was very infectious, although some people may find it annoying. The drum and bass ideas were good, although there was a little bit of a lack of ‘bass’. If they turned up the volume, that would have sounded great. It would have blended with the sweet, high register vocals so well. Overall, great stuff from Iceland, may qualify.
