In my life, I've spent a lot of money to see some really excellent live music, and paradoxically I've also seen a lot of great live music for zero dollars. I've been a huge fan of Richard Parris Scott for a couple years now, and when they invited me to catch their new group live I couldn't pass up the opportunity. RPS & The Band was excellent in person, with each musician absolutely killing it and the combination of them all even better than the sum of its parts. This was only the third live show they've played (all in just the past month) – with them already clicking on stage like this, I have high hopes for the next few years. Support local live music! We have some incredibly talented musicians in Springfield, and as fans of live music it's our responsibility to go out to support these artists.
