This is how I spent my day off in Tokyo! In this day in the life of an American woman living abroad in Japan, my husband and I decided to take a morning walk around my Japanese neighbourhood. We wanted to try something new in our local Tokyo ward. In Japanese culture there are many rules and things Japan does differently. As a foreigner living abroad in Japan, I still make mistakes and there are things that I am not yet accustomed to so I am always learning about what is acceptable in Japanese society! We then take a trip to a beautiful temple in Tokyo. This area of Tokyo is one of my favourite places with peaceful aesthetic and traditional scenery. I truly love my life in Japan and I enjoy exploring its traditions.
