So Unacademy has been struggling to survive - From 6,000 employees in early 2022, layoffs have slashed its workforce by 60% in just 2 years, to nearly 2,000 employees. And in a desperate attempt to survive, Unacademy also ditched their original idea of being an online education platform - they started opening offline centers across cities like Kota and Delhi. Unacademy has reportedly approached Allen, Physics Wallah, and K12 Techno for a merger or acquisition, and it is even ready to negotiate and accept a lower valuation - that is how desperate it is.
