Featuring 50hrs of total playtime and ANC that blocks up to 98% of noise. Big thank you to Soundcore for providing these for me to review. Today I’ll go over everything from design, fit, sound, ANC, to find out if the A40s are worth it! 3 colours including black. Price is $99. Small charge case. Commonly overlooked but really important. Has space matte finish, almost black by hint of dark blue. Font charge LEDs. 50hrs of total playtime, 10hrs just the buds. Above average, AirPods 6hrs. 10 min quick charge, 4hrs of listening. Satisfying magnetic lid. 25% smaller earbuds compared to previous version. Smallest ANC earbuds offered by Soundcore. 4.9g, lighter than Galaxy Buds 2, Sony LinkBuds S. Reflective finish on sides. Matte finish on sides with subtle branding. Touch controls, accurate and work well. Many ear tips to choose from. Sit comfortably in ear. No excessive pressure, yet still firm seal and won’t fall out. Sit flush due to small design and don’t stick out. Let’s talk sound. New 10mm double layer Metal ceramics- diaphragm driver. Certified hi-res wireless audio audio. Results in: Punchy bass, even sub-bass, Highs are clear, without being sharp like some others, Could use a bit more mids, EQ adjusted in app. Overall impressed! Music from rap to pop to Bach sound good. Vocals are true to life, great for podcasts. Watching TV shows, finer nuances come out. Action packed scenes or gaming, are phenomenal with that big bass. Listen at 60%, get plenty loud.. In-ear naturally have strong seal to block noise. A40s go even further with ANC NC.Noise canceling, what the Soundcore Space series is known for. New 3 stage NC, tested to block 98% of noise. Almost entirely bocks out all consistent sound and does superb job with higher frequencies too. Better than any other in-ear buds around this price I’ve tried. Switch modes easily with a long press. Transparency mode is the A40s quite good. Has minimal impact on the music. But in my experience Space A40s are at their best with noise canceling on. IPX4 waterproof for rain and running. Mics perform well with calls. Even in lower winds and car noise. Multipoint connection. Wireless charging. Customisable EQ and ambient sound in Soundcore app. I’ve said this in my Q45 review too, in my experience Soundcore headphones typically provide a compelling all-round package, in terms of features, sound and price and the Space A40s continue to set that example. If you want great ANC, impressive sound, long battery life and a very portable design, both charing case and ear buds, all for a price that won’t break the bank, I can definitely recommend the Space A40s!
