The Doors performing at the Village Theatre in New York, NY on June 11, 1967. This silent color footage shot by filmmaker Ira Schneider has been dubbed with a live recording of "Gloria" from The Matrix in San Francisco, CA on March 10, 1967. Note: Due to damage on the original master reel, the second half of this clip has been slowed down to play a slideshow of individual film frames. Just a few days after this concert, Jim Morrison acquires his first pair of custom-made leather pants. He'll continue to wear his trademark leathers both on stage and off until the spring of 1969 when he largely abandons them following the filming of "HWY: An American Pastoral." The Village Theatre is later purchased by concert promoter Bill Graham, owner of the Fillmore West and the Winterland Arena, and reopens as the Fillmore East in March 1968.
