5 ways to Inspect the Transom of your Project Boat, Cheap Race Boat Sleekcraft SST Sunday Update #3

Thank you for your support! The success of my last SST video was pretty unexpected, viewers like you helped pay for the fiberglass resin and lumber needed to support this project! Huge thank you! I picked up a crazy rare ultra high performance twin tunnel hull ModVP Sleekcraft SST for $500! This was one of sleek's fastest hulls ever, and was famous for racing in the ModVP series in 70s/80s/90s before it was banned for being too dangerous! This thing is going to need EVERYTHING, but I'll show you how you can tackle all these major repairs without spending a lot of cash. This video goes into more detail on removing the rest of the stringer, and then moving onto inspecting the transom, and will show you 5 easy ways to inspect the transom of a project boat. To be fair (to be faaaaiiiirrrrrr), I had not actually inspected the transom the entire time I've owned this; I was avoiding even looking at it until I had the stringer out.. I'll cover all the tips and tricks I use along the way; it's a messy job but it's not that hard to do, so feel free to follow along. Hopefully watching this will help convince people to tackle their own boat restorations; it's dirty work sometimes but it's not too complex or challenging, so please leave a message if you have any questions and I'll try to help. If you liked this video or learned something, please check out some of my other videos and stay tuned for updates to the SST project! Products used in this video; clicking them supports my channel but doesn't cost you a penny, cheers!
