Dal Fry & Jeera Rice Craving that restaurant style dal fry and jeera rice? 🔥 Whip them up at home for a taste that's next level delicious! The secret is in giving it a little flame to really bring out the flavors. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Serve it up with some fresh naan bread or papad for the perfect meal. . Ingredients: For Dal:- 1 cup Pigeon Pea Seeds (Tuvar Dal) 1/4 cup Bengal Gram Split (Chana Dal) 2-3 Bay Leaves (Tej Patta) Salt as per taste 3/4 cup Water 1 tsp Ghee in a pan 1 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera) Pinch of Asafoetida Powder (Hing) 1 finely chopped Onion Finely chopped Ginger Finely chopped Garlic Finely chopped Green Chillies 2 finely chopped Tomatoes 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder (Haldi) Red Chilli Powder (as per taste) 2 tsp Dhaniya Jeera Powder Garam Masala (as per taste) Chopped Coriander For Tadka:- 1 tsp Ghee 1/2 tsp Jeera 2 finely chopped Garlic Cloves Thinly sliced Ginger & Onion Red Chilli Powder (as per taste) For Jeera Rice:- 1 tbs Ghee 2 tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera) Garam Masala (as per taste) Salt as per taste 2 cup cooked Basmati Rice (cook 3-4 hours prior you make jeera rice) Method: Soak 1 cup Tuvar Dal & 1/4 cup Chana Dal in water for 2 hours Take soaked dal in pressure cooker, add 1/2 tsp Haldi Add 2-3 Tej Patta Add Salt as per taste Add 3/4 cup water Pressure cook up to 2 whistles on medium heat Further to make Jeera Rice, heat 1 tbs Ghee in a pan Add 2 tsp Jeera Add Garam Masala (as per taste) Add Salt as per taste Add 2 cup cooked Basmati Rice Mix it gently with the help of spoon Keep it on slow flame, turn off the heat once mixed Let's prepare dal now, transfer cooked dal in a bowl Heat 1 tsp Ghee in a pan Add 1 tsp Jeera Add a pinch of Hing Add 1 finely chopped Onion, fry well until it's soft Add finely chopped Ginger, Garlic & Green Chillies Fry well for 5-7 min Add 2 finely chopped Tomatoes Add Salt as per taste Cook until tomatoes are soft Now slightly tilt the pan towards gas heat, let the flame touch veggies for a minute (this will give a smokey effect to dal) Add 1/4 tsp Haldi Add Red Chilli Powder (as per taste) Add 2 tsp Dhaniya Jeera Powder Add Garam Masala (as per taste) Fry masala well, add cooked dal and mix it well Add a little Water if it's too thick Cook up to 2 boils Further prepare tadka for dal Heat 1 tsp Ghee in a pan Add 1/2 tsp Jeera Add 2 finely chopped Garlic Cloves Add thinly sliced Ginger & Onion Add Red Chilli Powder (as per taste) Pour this tadka on dal Add finely chopped Coriander and mix it Enjoy Scrumptious Dal Fry with Jeera Rice .
