This is a circa 1940s Bucyrus-Erie 15-B cable operated crane with a 15 feet, 6 inch boom and a 12 feet, 6 inch handle. It weighs in at about 26,000 pounds and capable of moving a half a yard of pay dirt per pass. The 15-B is powered by a Caterpillar D315 rated at 54 horsepower running at 1325 RPM. This crane was demonstrated at the100 Years Of Progress at the Edverville Show in Carthage, North Carolina.
