With the VP700e digital label print and Scorpio digital label cutting you can print and cut any shape and size labels from one stock of low cost self-adhesive paper or polypropylene label media. The labels can even be laminated before cutting for that extra durability. The video shows how the VP700e can be used stand alone to print labels rolls which are then passed to the Scorpio for cutting, waste removal, winding and finishing. Or the VP700e can be connected in-line with the Scorpio for a one pass print, cut and finish operation. The label images printed simply need a 5mm black registration mark printed alongside each image so that Scorpio can detect this and line up to cut out each label regardless of shape or size. Label images designed in Illustrator or Corel Daw can be quickly printed and cut. The cutter uses a plug-in software included with Scorpio to automatically detect the ‘cut path’ set by the label designer.
