In this clip, Boo explains the process of how adaptations occur as a result of training, whether for rehab or for performance. Boo feels that you get about 90-95% of the adaptation out of a set of exercises in about 21-28 days. This is the value of understanding the nature of long term adaptations and knowing when to progress and change up your training for the necessary adaptations to occur. One of our new favorite analogies is when Boo talks about adaptations like planting a tree. You dig a hole, you add fertelizer, you put the seed in the hole, you cover it with dirt, you add water, and you're done. The don't see the results yet but the adaptations (tree) is on its' way.
