St. John's Newfoundland - Top 7 Things to Do in and Around The City!

Newfoundland's capital city of St. John's! We are here for only two nights, so we have compiled a list of the 7 best things to do in St. John's if you only have a weekend or a few days to spend in the city. We explore some amazing sights and experiences just outside St. John's as well as the top attractions in the city itself. There is so much to do in St. John's, but if you want to hit the highlights on a short stay schedule, this is the place for you. If you are staying longer, these top things to do can get you started in your exploration of St. John's and surrounding area. We start off by having the best picnic we have ever had a lighthouse in Ferryland. The views were amazing, but the the delicious sandwiches, desserts and fresh squeezed, homemade lemonade, were equally as spectacular! We get to St. John's and camp at Pippy Park. For anyone headed to the city with their RV, this park is perfectly situated within the city limits. Want easy access to explore in and around St. John's? This is a perfect home base. Want to go have some fun and drinks on George St and safely uber home - this park is close enough to get taxis and ubers at any time of day if you want to leave the camper behind. Of course no stop in St. John's is complete without a stop in Quidi Vidi. The brewery has amazing beers on tap and a delicious menu, and is family friendly for sure. You feel as though you have left the city and arrived in a small fishing village when you get to Quidi Vidi and see the picturesque and quiet bay. We finish our time in Nwewfoundland by finally getting Screeched In! So we eat bologna, learn to speak newfoundlander, throw back a shot and KISS the COD! This was the least fresh fish we have seen in all our Newfoundland travels and that old slimy cod has smacked more than his share of lips in that bar. But when in Newfoundland......
