In most cases, you will probably be better off buying the 490C than the RM4 for your own home use. The west side spacing will give you more options for your bench press, rack pull, and pin squat setup. The cost is lower and you still get to choose the color to make it something special. The only exceptions are if you are interested in the Hip Belt squat drop-in and certain monster accessories which can only be had with the monster series, then the RM4 is probably the better option. The RM4 is the better option for a commercial gym because of the laser cut hole numbering and the bigger steel tubes. In a professional setting, the rack will have to take more abuse than at home, so you might as well invest a little extra for keeping people safe and their rack set up convenient.
