Following a summer of unexplained paralysis events that have sequentially devastated several local colonies, we are fast running out of time to get our rescued Little Red flying-foxes back into the wild. Little Reds are summer visitors who winter and give birth in far north Queensland and with several pregnant girls in care, we will have babies born within the month. All this means naught to orphaned Master Prancer who lives in his own little bubble. Not yet old enough for release back to the wild, he is spending his time learning how to be a proper bat. At some point he will be taught a very valuable lesson regarding respect for his elders but for now, his bad behaviour is tolerated because he is still a youngster.
